DESMONTANDO EL RELATO IZQUIERDISTA SOBRE EL CASO DE MARICARMEN

Maricarmen, una anciana de 87 años, vivía en un piso de la calle Sainz de Baranda, en el barrio del Retiro, una de las mejores zonas de Madrid.

Se mudó allí en 1956, con 17 años, junto a su familia, gracias a que su padre consiguió un contrato de arrendamiento franquista de los denominados hoy como de renta antigua.

Tras la muerte de su padre, hacia 1960, siguió viviendo con su madre. Desde 2005, al fallecer esta, residía sola y era responsable de pagar un alquiler de renta antigua, muy por debajo del precio de mercado.

La ley solo permite permanecer de forma indefinida al titular original y a quien se subroga en primer lugar. Esa primera subrogación correspondió a su madre tras el fallecimiento del padre. La de Maricarmen fue la segunda y esta solo daba derecho a dos años, salvo que existiera una discapacidad superior al 65 %, circunstancia que ella no cumple.

Es decir, Maricarmen, que trabajó durante cuarenta y nueve años como auxiliar administrativa hasta 1998 y cuya pensión actualmente ronda los 1450 euros, ha tenido más de veinte años para buscar un nuevo lugar donde vivir, pero simplemente no ha querido.

Ella quería quedarse pagando 440 euros por un piso en el barrio del Retiro de 92 metros cuadrados, que disponía de tres habitaciones, salón, cocina, baño y un cuarto de servicio.

Para hacerse una idea, por un piso de tres habitaciones y unos 94 metros cuadrados en la misma calle se piden 2950 euros al mes.

Un primo de Maricarmen le ha ofrecido su casa para que se quede, pero se ha negado. También ha rechazado la plaza de emergencia gratuita en una residencia que le ofrecía el Ayuntamiento de Madrid.

El caso de Maricarmen es un caso de caradurismo apoyado en las políticas de la dictadura franquista para vivir en una de las mejores zonas de Madrid sin pagar lo que corresponde por ello, en lugar de trasladarse simplemente a una zona más barata.
