@stephens_ben@infamousmargot Even if it's as little as the 6 weeks being away from work where your career isn't progressing, you have to stop to be a mom. And for most mother's, it's a lot more than 6 weeks of maternity leave.
@stephens_ben@infamousmargot Tbh it's probably because you're a dad. Whether good or not, women give up so much more to become mothers than men have to give up to become fathers, and many mothers feel that, at least for a time, they do have to stop their lives so their child can have one.
I keep seeing women say they've stopped dating and they're staying single, and it's because they've been traumatized by men in the past and have no desire to face the demoralizing trauma of The Apps

Today it was revealed that Former President Carter asked Joe Biden to give his eulogy. Here are some things to remember Carter by while he's still with us:
- At 95-years-old he continued to build homes with Habitat for Humanity as seen below.
- In the 1960βs he supported civil rights, which hurt his early political career in Georgia.
- Jimmy Carter won a Nobel Peace Prize
- Jimmy and Rosalyn Carter are the longest married president and first lady ever.
-In 2006, he was instrumental in reforming the U.N. Commission on Human Rights, now the U.N. Human Rights Council.
Best wishes President Carter!
Your positive mark on history is a BIG one.
