Lots of people are expressing apprehensions about HAL @HALHQBLR, especially timelines…but I am an optimist.

Good to see the trainers moving, not just the single-seaters. FOC twin-seat Tejas & HTT-40 are the ‘unglamorous’ part of #Atmanirbharta. Conversion training, hours on type and a basic trainer that is actually Indian IP decide whether the indigenous fleet grows or we stay import-dependent for the coming decades.

Slow but steady. 🐢 > 🐇. We WILL get there.

My counter-view:
-Commodity products on ToT great. Ex- commercial airlines ToT & civil powerplant ToT.
-Military products must be dependency-free. We must be able to sustain a Rus-Ukr kind of war.
-Imported military-ware needs India specific enhancements.
-Not tropicalised also.

-Nothing wrong in manufacture in India (let’s not call in ‘screwdrivergiri’) with foreign ToT if we get it NOW & CHEAPER.
-No use doing R&D on something which has existed (globally) for decades. We will always play catch-up. Making locally > full import. 1/n

-During war-like operations, emergency imports are always available. Reserve the "foreign buy" option for emergency only.

-Niche tech not available from abroad. Ex- Stealth UAVs/UCAVs. Let vendors transfer stealth tech. Then it makes sense.
-MALE UAVs are v low tech. Doesn't need much D&D. Indian industry should make without fuss.
-Continuous and incessant R&D must for military-ware.

Whether it be the beautiful beaches of Udupi , Paradise Beach in Pondi, Neil and Havelock in Andaman, and many other beautiful beaches throughout our country, there are so many unexplored places in Bharat which have so much potential with some infrastructure support. Bharat is knowing for converting all Aapda into Avsar, and this dig at our country and our Prime Minister by Maldives ministers is a great Avsar for Bharat to create just the necessary infrastructure to make them attractive to tourists and boost our economy. Please do name your favourite unexplored beautiful places.
