Gertie is a 2-year-old Boxer blend who survived a Central Valley dogfighting case, where she was used as a "bait dog." Despite her difficult start, she's back and better than ever. 💕

Meet Crew, who was originally known as Finch! Crew's adopter volunteered with the dog adoption team before adopting him. He is almost 11 months now and is the most loving, friendly, and happy boy. His new human mom feels so lucky to explore life with him by her side!

Last weekend, HWAC was pleased to honor some extraordinary students at the 2026 Therapeutic Riding Show. The annual event invites parents, friends, and family members of therapeutic riding clients to gather for a performance of newly developed equine skills. 🤍

He’s an unbelievably intelligent 6-month-old Labrador-Retriever blend; he knows EXACTLY where his kennel is, where the play yards are, and even his favorite walking routes! He does phenomenally on leash, and would make for a wonderful hiking companion.

Piglet is a 4-month-old Labrador Retriever blend. She is a very playful and active pup who enjoys running around and playing with toys! She would love to have a home with a yard so she can get all of her energy out! 💙
