A Kajang woman has sparked discussion online after receiving a handwritten note accusing her of parking in someone else's spot, despite saying she had parked in an unnumbered public parking bay at a flat complex.

In a Threads post, Adila said the parking space had no bay number and did not require a rental fee, making it a public parking bay. The handwritten note read: "If you're parking in someone else's spot, leave your phone number. Don't play dumb. This is my parking spot. Understand? It's hard to find you in the whole flat, nobody knows you. Next time, don't park in my spot." She also asked where she could lodge a complaint about people claiming public parking spaces as their own.

Under Section 50(3) of the Road Transport Act 1987, reserving a public parking bay is an offence punishable by a fine of up to RM2,000, imprisonment of up to six months, or both.
