Zie hier bijv statistieken: https://t.co/DozI8sMUzD
@EKouramanis@nietgevaccinee2@Eneco Economisch gezien erg logisch.
@Kivilev_@Cyclingbottle@MarijnThijs@emielvesch He proved our point, you don’t see speedskaters overtake or and fight for position as in shorttrack. And indeed, I can’t remember someone (recently) be able to win both medals in both sports. Suzanne schulting does not win in speedskating, Jorien ter Mors didn’t win in shorttrack
@Cyclingbottle@MarijnThijs@Kivilev_@emielvesch Also until the last two Olympics the Netherlands was not dominant at all in shorttrack. E.g. South Korea has about ~4x as many medals in shorttrack then NL, and only ~1/7 of NL in speedskating
@Cyclingbottle@MarijnThijs@Kivilev_@emielvesch It’s related as both are on ice and skates, other then that the main skills are quite different. It is like comparing ITT to cyclocross, yes both on bikes but inherently different and you wouldn’t argue it’s the same discipline.
@thedubsterr@dylan_dethier He won his first major at 21yo, of course incredible pressure but at that age you’d know you’ll likely have the opportunity again to win.
@thedubsterr@dylan_dethier No, the pressure of being (one of?) the best of his generation while also having a 10y drought and possibly completing a grand slam definitely makes this the biggest round of his career.
