Almost, I’m dying on this hill. Garfield’s Spider-Man is the best and most devastating character with so much depth.
Maguire = better movies
Garfield = better character
Tom = most fun Spider-Man
Yes, I know I’m South African; partisan politics is going to take offense over praising a city run by a brilliant politician. I can already hear the "you’re not American, butt out" replies
This one isn’t easy at all 💀
Both tragic characters, but in terms of performance?
Inde Navarrette slightly edges it for me (it’s a subgenre boost).
Indie horror focuses more on thematic payoffs + narrative payoffs, while Sinners is heavily focused on narrative payoff.
I see a lot of people calling this fight cheap. I think it’s called parallelism. They fought against Stark, the good cocky genius, and now they’re fighting against Doom, the bad cocky genius.
Either way, this is atonement for breaking the rules of time.
Steve Rogers and Bucky Barnes will reportedly face Doctor Doom in a 2v1 fight during the final battle of ‘AVENGERS: DOOMSDAY’
The scene will be similar to the confrontation between Steve, Bucky, and Stark in ‘Captain America: Civil War’.

Seen most people calling this film overrated because of its sales. But if we’re talking about structural integrity, thematic design, and execution; calling it ‘overrated’ is a bad faith leap if you lack structural critique.
Bear threw away a legendary, ride-or-die sisterly bond because he was blinded by a forced romantic fantasy. Nikki's fierce devotion should've been enough. Instead, both Bear and Ian weaponized Nikki’s past vulnerabilities, exploiting her under the absolute delusion of romance.
Although the movie lacks the lore mechanisms behind the curse, it integrates the themes so well and interrogates the core thesis without flinching:
“Obsession lacks boundaries”
Bear threw away a legendary, ride-or-die sisterly bond because he was blinded by a forced romantic fantasy. Nikki's fierce devotion should've been enough. Instead, both Bear and Ian weaponized Nikki’s past vulnerabilities, exploiting her under the absolute delusion of romance.
I’m not saying Ian = Armin as characters. I’m saying they occupy a similar structural/thematic function in the story:
They possess a perspective/understanding that the protagonist initially lacks. They interfere with the protagonist’s existing worldview or trajectory.
They fought, which resulted in Itachi dying from chakra cancer; not directly killed by Sasuke. The other guy just blew himself up after having Sharingan PTSD.
My client is innocent, Your Honor.
