@ManagerTactical Add Wes and Richards to that starting lineup and we’re cooking. Balo too, but tough to call that out with how well Pepi played. ARob needs to clean it up though.
@Fan3Usmnt@StanUsmnt The rest part is key. We rode a few core players too hard in ‘22 and they were gassed. Biggest risk with this group is asking so much of Adams and wearing him out or getting him injured. Same for a couple others but no depth for Tyler.
@realimjustkey Now that you got it, it will never leave you. I have 14 years on you, went 20+ without skating, then popped one first try helping my son learn. Now if I can just land a kickflip again, I’ll have a moment 🤣
@ProspectsUsmnt He doesn’t need it to make the WC. He’s already in that slot. Just can’t dip or lose ground to someone like Tolkien. Paredes and Wiley are long shots. Like to see him take a step up regardless.
@11Yanks And did well at his first club in Europe. Started building the resume the way more should. Didn’t ultimately make it at higher levels but still different than how you cast it.
@11Yanks You lumped him in with only MLS experience, not the same. Doesn’t matter what got him chances. Did well with one, which got him another and he ultimately topped out. If you want to just say American managers fail at top level, ok. Most managers do regardless, Americans too so far
@AJordan34@USSoccerColl Johnny is a great player but not once been an upgrade in the USMNT. They’ve never figured it out. Hard to view him as pushing anyone out of that spot right now.
@Eyesandvibes Richards has the tools but anticipation/decision making has been really poor. Ream making decisions too late with the ball. Entire midfield was poor save a couple spots from Tillman. Balo just isn’t effective unless we change how we play. His deficiencies show more than strengths
@JayHrndz2 Seriously. Who the F doesn’t want to make sure kids get a good meal so they can focus on school? Liberal, conservative, centrist…if you can’t get behind this, I definitely have a label for that.
@JayHrndz2 There’s no excuse for going out 4-0 even with this roster, but there were upgrades age-eligible at most positions and if you want to win, you get a marquee overage player or two released. Olympics is never anyone’s A roster, but good teams got some A players released.
@ProspectsUsmnt Tepid from both sides for long stretches and fairly even for a lot of it, but when the tempo ratcheted up, France had the talent/composure to finish and we did not. Miles and Harriel decent chances, DM off the bar, Pax could have had 2, Tolkien off the post, marginal offside goal
