🇯🇵 JAPAN DEPLOYS SOLDIERS... TO FIGHT BEARS
Yes, actual soldiers. Not for war. For bears.
After a record 10 deaths and nearly 21,000 sightings, Japan’s Self-Defense Forces are now setting traps, hauling carcasses, and chauffeuring hunters in bear-infested Akita.
They won’t shoot the bears, just clean up the mess and help the locals do it.
Blame rural depopulation, climate shifts, or maybe just a very bold bear uprising.
Either way, Japan's got boots on the ground… and paws in the suburbs.
