After 21 years, Hyde MMA is closing its doors.
Thank you for all the support over the years. To our fighters who’ve paved the way over two decades and our coaches for the tutelage.
Humbly, we’re proud of the stamp we made. All the best to everyone. It is simply time. ❤️ 👊🏻
@scottyc2898 We’re waiting for some clearer guidelines on that. As it stands, though, (I think) both regulars & new members are welcome in socially distanced conditions on the mats.
We’ll be continuing temperature checks and use of sanitary stations upon entry as well.
It’s unlike we’ll be reopening until 2021 with these current restrictions in place as well as the upcoming holidays. We’ll assess the situation after the next reviews and provide an update when and where we can.
We appreciate your support and hope to be back to work soon! 👊🏻
NOTICE:
As gyms reopened after the initial four weeks of closure yesterday, our doors have remained closed as the Tameside COVID restrictions prevent the coaching of group sessions from taking place.

Due to the new restrictions put in place by this week, our doors will be closing with immediate effect.
We do expect to reopen on Wednesday, 2nd December at the soonest, however we will be following developments over the next four weeks. Thanks to our students for the support.
Our doors have been temporarily closed this past week due to a case of coronavirus within the team.
To avoid it spreading anywhere in the facility, the decision was made to put classes on hold until isolation was completed to avoid further exposure.
Monday 7th September. Our first full week back to training began tonight with jiu jitsu & emphasis on arm control and focused submissions. Clean, safe, spaced-out environment. Great work by all! #HydeMMA
No matter what your opinion may be on the pandemic, we ask that you respectfully follow our guidelines for the benefit and health of everyone returning or starting to walk through our doors, onto our mats as well as ensuring our doors can stay open here onwards. See you soon!
NEWS: The coronavirus pandemic caused the shutdown of gyms since the middle of March this year, meaning it’s been a tough time for the fitness industry to see a time to reopen - especially us in the combat sports world where close-proximity training is essential.
At long last, however, we have good news! Hyde MMA will reopen its doors for training on Monday, 31st August at 7pm. We will have necessary precautions in place and measures to follow to enable a safe, clean training environment for all.
