Mark your calendars for January 31st from 5PM to 7PM and join us for HGHS Curriculum Night at HGHS Gym! This is a great way to decide which courses you would like to take next year. You will have the opportunity to preview clubs, athletics, etc. #eaglesfly
"My most challenging student is not inherently challenging as a human being -- but I need to own that it's challenging for me to work with them. Once I take responsibility for my own emotions, I am now in a position to transform them" @AlexSVenet https://t.co/7vX3lffHrT #edchat

Some kids are nervous about going back to school. Good teachers get that. They understand that the first order of business is to make their classroom a safe place for kids.
So here’s my challenge to admins this year: Spend time in classrooms! It helps you connect with both kids & teachers. It reminds you of the awesome work your teachers do & it reinforces for you the many challenges they face. If you’re an administrator, please be in classrooms.
“Ss who have positive relationships with their Ts experience less stress, behave more appropriately, and feel more excited about learning. Students almost always work harder for teachers they like” @EricJensen#engagingstudents#KidsDeserveIt#RelationshipsMatter
Positive Leaders:
-Are optimistic about the future.
-Believe in their team.
-Embrace challenges.
-Grow from failure.
-Keep moving forward despite set backs.
-Pursue excellence with passion and purpose.
-Lead with faith, not fear.
Teachers and administrators do not become exceptional by accident. They work hard at their job. They reflect on their work and are constantly learning. They collaborate with colleagues to make stronger decisions. And they cultivate meaningful relationships with their students.
