@harder_water The climate model I used in my PhD research simulated a โfutureโ storm like this in east central Sask. Itโs seemed almost unrealistic at the time (<2 years ago) and the hydrological model showed massive flooding. Is there local flooding associated with this event?

Wanna see something cool? June 10-17 total precipitation (mm) over Canadian Prairie ag extent from the perspective of CAPA (@environmentca 2.5 km resolution precip product that assimilates radar, gauge and weather model data). Central SK not a winner in this system...
It's been a long time coming, but simulating blowing snow at a snowdrift-permitting resolution over 1.3M km^2 spatial extents is now possible with CHM. I've presented these results at the @GWFutures meeting and next week at @CWRA_Flows. A๐งต on what was needed
