Hi everyone, please sign the petition to help save city of industry and all the surrounding areas in the SGV from battery and data centers which harms the communities in multiple ways which includes:
1. Higher electric bill
2. Higher water bill plus depletes most of the water in the surrounding areas
3. Health and safety of the locals (increase heat temperatures and loud noises)
Puente Hills Mall deserves more for the legacy it built from being the most iconic filming location for the movie “Back To The Future” by Universal Pictures. A place where everyone joins together in harmony to watch movies in a theater (AMC), compete in bowling & arcades (Bowling Round One), and dine in to a big food court plus restaurants (Haidilao Hot Pot). We need to bring more business to the mall by building more entertainment sectors, shopping districts, and food halls to increase competition which pushes innovation all across the board. So it won’t be forgotten and we can get more diverse options as much as possible in the city. Thank you!!! I hope we can overcome this so in the future multiple generations can experience the wonders and long lasting history of city of industry for years to come.

None taken. And yes I agree Crunchyroll is in its worst era so far with lots of controversy which led to loss of premium users. I acknowledge most of the users consider pirating anime. I know most of us are making a big deal with one dude posting a bunch of passwords but I feel like we all deserve answers from Sony/Crunchyroll for our safety and protection of possible personal information & payment method being leaked & use elsewhere. For us, spreading the word is key and gives us reassurance that we are not alone in this situation. Yes, to sum it all up it is not a big deal for some but for the rest of us it is because these personal information can spread. When it spreads, it’s hard to stop it from getting into the wrong hands so precaution & communication is important before it happens to one of us premium users next. I appreciate your input though. Thank you for contributing and letting everyone know to change their passwords.
Sony/Crunchyroll, please release a post on x or email regarding the data breach of login credentials. It has been 24 hours with no response which is unacceptable. Premium members and subscribers deserve to know the situation and be informed. I recommend everyone that has a premium account to change their passwords. Also, just to be safe change all the password in your other accounts associated with the same email. If changing the password on your Crunchyroll account doesn’t work, logout of the account. Press forgot password to change it from there. You should receive an email by Crunchyroll to change it instantly. I hope everyone is safe through this difficult times where communication is being ignored from a company that simply doesn’t care. Even though Sony/Crunchyroll, you almost have a monopoly over anime doesn’t mean you should treat us so poorly. We expect better for paying monthly or annually on a subscription service. At the bare minimum, the service needs to have better security, communication, and improvements on the application. Please, do your job and fix this mess!!! Thank you!!!
@Crunchyroll Crunchyroll, please give an official announcement about the data breach!!! We need to know what are you going to do to keep our accounts safe. We need a response & solutions asap. Thank you!!!
5. Six Flags Magic Mountain Fright Fest (Valencia, CA)
-11 Haunted Houses
-9 Scare Zones
Pros:
-Lots of variety of haunted houses including a mixture of IPs + originals (just like Universal but equal amounts of both)
-Scare zones are extreme (just like SeaWorld San Diego & Knotts Scary Farm)
Cons:
-Unprepared: most of the haunted houses were not open when the event officially starts. I think if I can remember correctly the only mazes that were open was The Conjuring Universe, maybe the three original mazes "Vault 666, Truth or Dare, & Condemned Forever Damned." I am not sure if Stranger Things open with Conjuring but I do know beside the ones I mention, most of them were closed + open at random times.
-There was one haunted house that I missed going through once because they were not open. I don't remember the time but I think it was between 10 pm or 11 pm. Almost half the event gone and it still wasn't open. The house was Aftermath: Nocturnal Hunt. It was really a pain and I am going to not rank it since I didn't experience it.
-Some of the sets were lackluster in a few mazes and I wish they have more time to prepare and be ready since they set the expectation really high this year while gobbling up the IPs.
-Food is very expensive like SeaWorld

4. SeaWorld Howl-O-Scream (San Diego, CA)
-5 Haunted Houses
-7 Scare Zones
-Monster Stomp (New)(Live Entertainment) "Entertaining with a mix of storyline performances + musical at the same time"
Pros:
-Lots of unique and intriguing scare zones
-Haunted houses were a surprise for some and others are decent
-Enjoy "Monster Stomp" and I feel like it was really creative on how well the performers use the sets, sing live, and dance at the same time.
Cons/Improvements:
-I wish they use the whole entire park for SeaWorld San Diego and not just half of it. I feel like they can benefit more with a few more haunted houses.
-Food is too expensive especially don't get me started on the extra charge.
Haunted Houses Rankings:
1. Death Water Bayou
2. Nightmare Experiment
3. Area 64: Alien Outbreak
4. Circus of the Damned
5. Simon's Slaughterhouse

3. The Queen Mary's Dark Harbor (Long Beach, CA)
-5 Haunted Mazes
-4 Secret Speakeasies
-Lady Mabel Presents The Summoning of Samuel "I thought it was a show. Instead, I found out it was just a museum and walkthrough of the stories of the artifact & real life figures on the ship. The haunted theatrical experiences said it was a ritual so I thought it was a performance. Oh well."
-Attractions "Most of them were not available on opening weekend which was disappointing.
-Ringmaster's Rides "I didn't go because I don't want to pay extra."
Pros:
-The mazes are long and the sets are spectacular in terms of immersion using hallways, stairs, & tunnels.
-Scare actors are always present and constantly there in every scene.
-I got to talk to the ringmaster and take a picture with her. I was excited to go to this event since this is my first time and heard great things about it back in 2019. Especially, the iconic characters backstory connecting to the ship and event itself.
-Tons of variety of food available for purchase
Cons/Improvements:
-Mazes were not open at the same time as the event open. Some of them open between 1 hour or even 2 hours after the event was already open to general admission. I am glad I got VIP because the lines were long on a Friday that I went.
-Restrooms: outdoor (It was horrible in my opinion with the lines and the sink not working properly) "I prefer the indoor one in the ship."
-Half of the speakeasies were cool and the other half was okay. I only drink one alcohol at one of them while exploring the rest. The speakeasies were not prepared when the event open to the general public since the hint or light was not shining when I did my first walkthrough.
-False advertising: No show + Anchor Axe & Pirates Plunder Shootout was closed and not ready on opening weekend. The only one that was ready is the smores which was good.
-The food lines were long as well during the event and next year I will take advantage of early entry to eat and drink before I go to the mazes.
Haunted Mazes Ranking:
1. Infirmary
2. Feast
3. Big Top Terror
4. Breakout and On The Run
5. Lullaby
Final Rating:
5/10
2. Knott's Scary Farm 2024 (Buena Park, CA)
-10 Mazes
-5 Scare Zones
-5 Shows & Experiences (I didn't went because I am so caught up on the mazes and scare zones but I will go to all of them next year "2025")
-Timber Mountain Log Ride Halloween Hootenanny & Calico Mine Ride "I always love the theming of the log ride at the event. For me, it is a tradition to always go for the thrills of being wet and the mine ride for relaxation + the smell of candy + its iconic."
For this event, I am going to keep it short & simple. Knott's Scary Farm 2024 is by far the best southern California Halloween event in my opinion. It has been consistent every year delivering amazing jump scares, atmosphere effects, and interactive rooms that feels eerie to walk through. Every year, the event takes the time to innovate with at least 2-3 new original mazes replacing the old ones with something new & fresh. In addition, I like that the scare zones are spread apart with smoke effects and a bunch of scare actors roaming the area. The food was delicious from the boo-fet which I did every year. I feel like this event every year is worth it in terms of value with bundles or separate add-ons.
Scary Farm Mazes Ranking:
1. Widows (New)
2. Eight Fingers Nine: The Boogeyman (New)
3. The Chilling Chambers
4. Cinema Slasher
5. Wax Works (Final Year) "It's a classic going to miss it."
6. Origins - The Curse of Calico "Classic"
7. Mesmer: Sideshow of the Mind "Improvement from 2023"
8. The Grimoire "I felt like the first year was better. It was missing some scare actors in key scenes. The set was still great."
9. Bloodline: 1842 (Final Year) "I wish they bring back the guns from the first year to make it more interactive but I would say it is an improvement from 2023. I do miss the pre-show though."
10. Room 13 "I really want to like this maze since the theming and storyline was interesting. But I just can't because there were to many empty spaces and few scare actors. I am hoping for a reimagined take or improvement for this maze in 2025."
Scary Farm Scare Zones Ranking:
1. Ghost Town Streets
2. Forsaken Lake
3. The Gauntlet
4. CarnEvil
5. GORE-ing 20s
Final Rating:
9/10
Halloween Events Breakdown 2024 (Mostly Amusement Park + some small events) (Ranking will be shown in the last part for all events) (Rating will be shown in the end of each part for each event) (Part 1)
1. USH HHN (Universal Studios Hollywood Halloween Horror Nights)
-8 Haunted Houses, Terror Tram, 4 Scare Zones, and 2 Live Entertainment
Pros:
-Top 3 Haunted Houses = 1. Insidious The Further, 2. The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, & 3. The Weeknd Nightmare Trilogy
Unique Haunted House = 4. A Quiet Place
Honorable Mention = 5. Monstruos 2 The Nightmare of Latin America
All of the haunted houses open at 7 pm on time when the event starts
-Terror Tram = Big Improvement from last year & Blumhouse was spectacular + shoutout to The Black Phone, M3gan, Freaky, Happy Death Day, and The Purge (each mini section/houses gives a sense of depth & extensive look at the franchise)
-Live Entertainment = The Purge: Dangerous Waters is as excellent as ever. Huge improvements of how gory it is and more pyrotechnics, explosions, and immersive audio effects
Late Night with Chucky is a great concept for a Q&A Talk show with a killer doll. It needed an extra pop to take it to the next level
-Top 3 Foods = 1. Mini-Stay Puft S'mores, 2. Pam's Brisket Sandwich, 3. Short Rib Saw Blade Flatbread
Drinks = Out of Time (Non-alcoholic)
Cons:
-Bottom 3 Haunted Houses (Need Improvements) = 8. Universal Monsters Eternal Bloodlines, 7. Dead Exposure Death Valley, & 6. Ghostbusters Frozen Empire
Inconsistent runs sometimes with less or no scare actors
-I wish the terror tram open "Wolf Man" pathway throughout the event as a bonus to promote the film next year. In addition, include Jupiter's Claim to every guest to enter not just VIP. It feels empty and there should be scare actors from Us, Nope, and maybe add Get Out as well.
-Scare Zones = 1. Murder of Crowz, 2. Skull Lordz, 3. Luchadores Monstruosos, 4. Chainsaw Punkz
The scare zones should be spread out evenly from upper lot to lower lot
Not having the death eaters at Hogwarts is a big miss that could of added a layer of dimension to Harry Potter Land & another scare zone
Next year 2025 just a suggestion can we have the interactive tunnel or backstage back. I will be excited to see any of those return
RIP Experiences:
Photo ops for the terror tram was interactive and a surprise but open the nope set to everyone and if possible create a secret entrance for another photo op for the nope set to RIP guest
Exclusive tram taking us around backstage and to the mazes was really helpful in terms of cutting the time to walk there
Buffet is delicious as always but I wish there are more theme option this year especially for the dessert section and going into Super Nintendo World is a bonus
RIP line designated for foods and cocktails is very appreciated
Universal express unlimited + reserved seating for live entertainment and valet parking is the most valuable piece in the RIP bundle
Shoutout to the tour guides: they are the best and deliver amazing guest experiences every night
Rating:
6/10
I was leaning towards 6 or 7 but ultimately decided on a 6 because factoring in all they cut out from previous years & inconsistent runs which led to my final verdict. I am a little disappointed because they have the resources to be the best haunt in California. I hope next year they go all out, innovate, and make it big.

Double Feature Korean Movies First Impressions and Reactions
Veteran & The Roundup: No Way Out (3rd Installment)
-Both movies definitely delivered on martial arts combat with unique style of kicks and punches. No way out is more boxing heavy while veteran is a mixture of punch, kick, and environmental aspect to combat. Weapons are use a lot for both films which adds a spark to the action. While action is less on veteran than no way out, when the action is shown it is amazing.
-Storytelling on both movies is good. I like Veteran slightly better due to the high stakes involved in the film. Roundup, I am so interested on gangster and cop war. While watching the third movie, it is peak and I am hype to enter the 4th movie and beyond.
-Comedy is excellently displayed on both films. The delivery is natural and flows really well with the script.
-The main characters and antagonists (villains) are spectacular on both films. Acting and performances are top notch.
-Some improvements, there are parts that feel slow burn development in the film “Veteran.” The business sub plot (side quest) feels unnecessary to the film main plot since it leads to nowhere and it was not expanded. For “No Way Out”, I wish they expanded more on the Japanese mafia/gangster + Chinese mafia/gangster. I miss the old team strong presence but the new team is a fresh start to the series.
Final Verdict:
Veteran = 8/10
The Roundup: No Way Out = 9/10
Fast Food Halloween First Impression & Reaction
Burger Series #1: Carl’s Jr
1st Item = Double Big Angus The Ghost Burger with extra sauce
Pros:
-Soul Scorching sauce has so much flavor. The heat is present and lingering spice on the mouth but not overwhelming.
-Big Angus patties is juicy and full of seasoning
-Potato Bun is lightly toasted and I love the idea for this burger
-Lettuces and Tomatoes add texture and freshness
-Burger is big and enormous
Improvements:
-I wish the soul scorching sauce is a little bit more spicier having a kick on the throat since Carl’s Jr advertise it as very hot.
- Bottom bun is soggy. I feel like adding extra sauce made it mushy and fall apart. But the vegetables were at the bottom as well. The placement of ingredients is what could make the burger better.
-Didn’t know the bacon was there. Wish the texture of the bacon were crispier.
-I wish the burger was theme a bit more to fit the Halloween setting since the burger is called “The Ghost.” Maybe white bun or feature of a ghost with see-through quality.
-Price is expensive for one burger with no combo wish it was lowered
Final Verdict: (Fast Food Scale)
C+
