š„· To the public:
The police told me they intend to 302 me.
Their justification? Love. Neurodivergence. A mind they donāt understand.
When they showed up, it felt like they brought a literal giant. This dude looked seven feet tall and easily over 400 pounds. Maybe 450. He absolutely towered over everyone. Whether that was intentional or not, thatās how I experienced it: overwhelming, intimidating, and unforgettable.
Iām not asking for sympathy. Iām asking for people to pay attention.
Question everything. Demand due process. Listen before you label. A free society depends on our willingness to distinguish genuine danger from simply being different.
As Plato is often quoted:
āLove is a serious mental disease.ā
For over 2,000 years, humanity has wrestled with the mystery of love. Maybe the real question isnāt whether love is madnessābut whether weāve forgotten how to recognize it when it refuses to fit inside everyone elseās boxes.
š°š„¾ The Bride of Christ Wears Combat Boots
The phrase isnāt about violence.
Itās about readiness.
The New Testament never describes the Church as an audience. It describes her as a Bride, a Body, a Temple, and an Armyācalled to love sacrificially while standing courageously for truth.
Jesus is the Bridegroom.
The Church is His Bride.
But until the wedding feast, the Bride lives in contested territory.
That is why the Apostle Paul tells believers:
āPut on the whole armor of Godā¦ā (Ephesians 6:10ā18)
Notice something fascinating.
Paul doesnāt tell Christians to put on a tuxedo.
He tells them to put on armor.
āø»
š° Why a Bride?
Because a bride represents:
š¤ Covenant
š¤ Faithfulness
š¤ Purity of devotion
š¤ Love that gives itself away
The Church is called to reflect Christās character before the world.
āø»
š„¾ Why Combat Boots?
Combat boots symbolize:
⢠Readiness
⢠Endurance
⢠Stability on difficult ground
⢠The willingness to keep moving when the journey becomes costly
Paul even describes believers as having their feet fitted with āthe readiness given by the gospel of peaceā (Ephesians 6:15). Ironically, the only footwear mentioned in the armor of God is for carrying peace into conflict.
āø»
š The Early Church Understood This
The first Christians did not expect comfort.
Many endured imprisonment, exile, confiscation of property, public ridicule, and martyrdom.
Ignatius of Antioch encouraged believers to remain faithful even as he was taken to Rome for execution.
Polycarp refused to deny Christ despite the threat of death.
Tertullian famously wrote that āthe blood of the martyrs is the seed of the Church,ā capturing how suffering often strengthened rather than weakened Christian witness.
For the early Church, following Jesus was never merely a private beliefāit was a lifelong allegiance.
āø»
š¼ A Modern Analogy
Imagine a team of elite emergency responders.
They donāt wear formal clothing into a disaster zone.
They wear protective gear.
Not because they hate the people theyāre rescuingā¦
ā¦but because they love them enough to enter dangerous places safely.
The Church is called to do something similar.
We enter broken families.
Broken cities.
Broken institutions.
Broken hearts.
Not to dominate.
Not to condemn.
But to bring truth, mercy, healing, justice, forgiveness, and hope.
The combat boots are not for crushing people.
They are for walking where love is needed most.
āø»
ā¤ļø The Paradox of the Gospel
The Bride of Christ is:
š Royal without arrogance.
š”ļø Strong without cruelty.
āļø Courageous without hatred.
𤲠Humble without weakness.
š Pure without isolation.
š„ Passionate without compromise.
Jesus conquered not by taking livesā
but by laying down His own.
That is the pattern for His Bride.
The Bride of Christ wears combat boots because love is costly, discipleship is demanding, and hope must often walk through difficult places before it reaches those who need it most.
āBlessed are the peacemakers.ā ā Matthew 5:9
āPut on the whole armor of God.ā ā Ephesians 6:10ā18
āLet us run with endurance the race set before us.ā ā Hebrews 12:1ā2
May we become a people who are gentle enough to restore the broken, courageous enough to stand for truth, and faithful enough to follow Christ wherever He lead.
