@LeanneMac@johncubz Pretty cool to see the first little glimpses of organic usage trickling through - that's a key signal that investors should be keeping an eye on. There's def a lot of action right now in the aftermarket but 99% of it is wholesale activity or defensive buys.

Very grateful for this opportunity! 🙏
For those of you that don't know the ICA - it is THE primary advocacy group for the domain industry.
Think of it as a unified voice that defends the rights and interests of the domain name community: registrars, registries, brokers and importantly, us investors too. A lot of work goes on behind the scenes to do that: policy work, building relationships, stakeholder management, ICANN working groups etc - and most of us don't have time (or expertise!) to get involved in all of that ourselves. So the ICA is an opportunity to pool our resources as an industry and work collectively.
If you're not a member of the ICA - feel free to reach out. It's also a great community too - the meet-ups are second-to-none in terms of networking, knowledge sharing and getting to know others in the industry.
And if you're already a member - thank you for your support! 🙌
The ICA is pleased to welcome Nikul Sanghvi to the ICA Board of Directors! Nikul is a full-time domain investor and the founder of @hypernames. We are thrilled to have his energy on the board as we build an even stronger presence for our membership moving forward.
I'm seeing a lot of FOMO right now, and some people are saying they miss the days when .com was the only thing to chase.
Personally, I think chasing new extensions can be very profitable if you have the understanding, capital, and conviction to do it right. These opportunities have created an entirely new class of successful domainers, and I love it.
A lot of my profits as a domain investor came from getting early into .co, .io and, more recently, .ai.
But I’ve always done the same thing with those profits: I reinvested a large part of them into domains I consider much more timeless.
Mostly premium and also strong .orgs.
Because trends change.
I started to compound because of .co profits; .io had a huge run. .ai is having one now. And another extension will come next, without a doubt.
But I don’t want my entire business to depend on correctly predicting which extension will be hot next year.
So by all means, ride the trends if you can spot them early.
Just don’t forget to ride the wave; move some of the profits into assets you’d still be happy owning if the momentum dies.
For me, that’s mostly .com and .org.
If your market is local, that can just as easily be .nl, .de or another strong ccTLD.
Ride the waves and make sure a large part of your portfolio sits in assets where you can sleep through the next hype cycle.
The ICA recently wrapped up our Board elections, seeing great participation by our members. Each of our candidates received overwhelming support from our membership and we're happy to announce that Nikul Sanghvi has been elected to the ICA Board, while Jay Chapman, Tessa Holcomb, and Braden Pollock, have all been re-elected. Please join us in welcoming Nikul and congratulating our returning directors. You can read more about each of them directors here: https://t.co/og5ASM8lJU
