I don’t care what people say, but this shows 2 of Duterte’s most enduring legacies:
1. Widespread corruption because you’re safe and allowed to steal if you’re within the inner circle;
2. Murder as a solution to everything
NIA EMPLOYEE, KNOWN FOR EXPOSING ALLEGED CORRUPTION, SHOT DEAD IN CDO
An employee of the National Irrigation Administration (NIA) Region 10 was shot dead by motorcycle-riding assailants in Cagayan de Oro City on Friday, October 10.
The victim, identified as 40-year-old Niruh Kyle Antatico, was gunned down at Zone 1, Crossing Patag. A Juris Doctor graduate, Antatico was known for his outspoken social media posts exposing alleged corruption within his agency, accusing certain NIA officials of overpricing materials, implementing substandard projects, and committing irregularities in the distribution of farmer subsidies.
Screenshots of his posts, shared by https://t.co/BUWrahYERt, show Antatico naming specific projects and calling out supposed anomalies such as the use of inferior construction materials, questionable bidding processes, and mishandling of funds intended for local irrigation development. In one post, he warned of "corruption disguised as progress," while in another, he lamented being reassigned after making his allegations public.
The attack, captured on a rear dashcam, shows the suspects shooting Antatico as he slowed down at an intersection. Authorities are investigating whether his killing was connected to his public exposés.
cops sympathizers on tiktok using the narrative "trabaho lang" or "ginagawa lang para sa pamilya" you don't get to fucking wash your hands from all the brutality you've committed in the name of your family like FUCK OFF
calling protests useless is the privilege of those who aren’t being oppressed. for the silenced, the hungry, and the abused, protests are a weapon of survival. if you feel comfortable enough to dismiss them, then you’re living off the comfort built on someone else’s suffering.
“When we decline to speak ill of the dead, it’s because we have compassion for the living. In this respect, I am sorry for Kirk’s children. I don’t know if Kirk was a good father, but if he was, that does little to mitigate the damage he did to other people’s children.”
She’s going out of her way to trigger him by calling him a slur repeatedly and when he reacts in a way yall don’t see as “the perfect victim” you take it as an excuse to justify the homophobia he’s experiencing it’s insane the way ppl are bending over backwards over this
