It's #July4th eve, so a friendly competition between @AmericanAir and @British_Airways . First to provide evidence of *anything* you've done to find my missing bag since last Thursday wins an #IndependenceDay customer service award (judged by me, your valued (?) customer). ๐บ๐ฒ๐ฌ๐ง
Still no bag, nor any contact from any of the now 4 (!) parties involved in a simple bag transfer. @AmericanAir I leave for Australia this weekend. Will you pay to transfer my bag to Melbourne if I don't receive it in Boston before then? 6 days now!
@British_Airways Nah, thought I'd just see what happens. /s ๐
Don't bestir yourself, American finally gave me a lost bag tracking number after I emerged from DMs onto public Twitter.
Neither have helped, but it's quite entertaining to see the customer service difference between the @AmericanAir prompt, chirpy but meaningless AI platitudes and @British_Airways delayed 'not my problem' (even though the bag was likely left at LHR between connecting BA flights).
On day 5 of a 10 day visit to Boston on the way home from Hamburg and @AmericanAir and @British_Airways still have no idea where my bag is. What's the plan when I fly back to Australia this weekend???
@AmericanAir Yes, the replies have been very prompt but information-free. I appreciate the effort but would appreciate knowing what continent my bag is on more.
@AllostEricSite Ooh, a tie. Is this in relation to A Disappearance in Fiji? I just got my hands on a copy and will definitely be taking off the dust jacket to read it!
