A short 🧵 below…
In @Nature today (open access), we report the structural and mechanistic basis of how bacteria harvest energy from air. We reveal a novel enzyme, Huc, consumes atmospheric levels of hydrogen gas and transfers the derived electrons for aerobic respiration. https://t.co/5J0Pq1mS7l
Please check out our latest study regarding the ecology and evolution of Panguiarchaeum @CellReports ! Our study unveils that episymbiotic associations may not be unique to DPANN archaea but may also be present in other archaea lineages. Link: https://t.co/E8eyuWQ3Di
@BanfieldLab We met the same issue. Somebody published their paper by directly using our genomes on JGI or reassembling metagenomic datasets and get really similar genomes, which made us hard to publish our papers. Really bad.
