This is quite extreme. The same can be achieved with a ketogenic diet because that’s effectively what he’s done. Actors always love adding some drama.

I’ve done a colon flush to start with a fresh slate, and ate keto for 2 weeks. Cut out all carbs and sugars, including the synthetic additives and fillers. Whole foods only. Well, that’s how society has been conditioned hasn’t it?

I have ancient phones that still work perfectly. Then my first iPhone lasted 5 years, the next 4. The average lifespan of my modern smartphones has been around that.

What doesn’t make sense about using the same phone for more than 5 years? Being able to own it, repair it, upgrade it ourselves? What stops  from increasing the buyout price for ownership in the years to come when cash buyers dwindle towards none.

In the future, what will it cost when you have to repair a cracked screen, replace a battery, when there’s a monopoly on that price?

We’re slowly giving away our right to ownership, choice, and freedom from rent.

Rent seeking capitalism at its best is now in full swing. Private ownership will become a luxury for the few.

Take a look at Chinatown in Western cities all over the world. They’ve existed for well over half a century. The restaurants, supermarkets are bustling with foot traffic through cutthroat pricing amidst the surrounding **regular** pricing of the West.

The Chinese restaurant patrons share their food while the Westerners individualize their meals. Westerners have long enjoyed the cheap food and groceries of the “Third World” as they stroll back into the quiet, lifeless, posh streets of their **civilized** world.

There is a very distinct and opposing disconnect between Western and Eastern values while the two have been able to coexist because the Chinese system offers benefit inside the Western bubble. **Cheap**, for the masses has always been the Chinese way.

As one who has lived in Asia for half my life, I see Western pricing as inflated, for the comfort of the few. At a time when K shaped economies continue their divergence, maybe it’s time we begin to examine our values.
