I tried to follow just how hard Evo Moment #37 really is. First of all, the timing to block the very first hit of Chun-Li’s Houyoku-sen already makes no sense. Even after experiencing it dozens of times, I honestly couldn’t figure it out. And even if you somehow manage that, the 7–7–jump–1 sequence will fail if your rhythm is off by even 0.1 seconds. I think I succeeded maybe twice out of a hundred attempts. The fact that this was pulled off in a tournament, against a pro gamer, is mind-blowingly unbelievable. After actually trying it myself, it feels even harder to believe.
