It is with grave concern and profound dismay that Kenya’s @ForeignOfficeKE condemns, in the strongest terms possible, the unprovoked attack by Hamas militants on the people of Israel early today.
Kenya strongly condemns the despicable terror attack against Israel and regrets the carnage and senseless loss of life. We repudiate the planners, funders and implementers of this heinous attack. While Israel has a right to retaliate, a peaceful path to resolving this unfortunate development is urged. @ForeignOfficeKE@IsraelMFA
I’m not the owner of that trolley, no. That is not a trolley you find bachelors pushing. Our shopping fits on our two God-given hands. Tissue paper, soap, and noodles. Tomato sauce if we’re feeling eccentric.
That there is a family man's trolley. Someone settled in life. Someone who has worked his way up the bleachers to the VIP section of life and has a managerial position in some company. He maybe drives a Subaru Outback and lives in a la-di-da neighborhood. Somewhere in Loresho or Kilimani.
That trolley speaks of kids and a wife. The good book teaches us that when a man finds a wife he finds a good thing. It forgets to say that he also finds himself in the middle of a supermarket with a full trolley wondering what he’s forgotten.
The owner of the trolley was bald. The Rock Dwayne Johnson, bald. I would be bald too if I had to contend with such a trolley. He was in a yellow polo shirt, blue chinos, and black sneakers and he kept looking at his phone.
I know he was looking at the list his wife threw at him, “Don’t forget my green tea, you know I’m detoxing.”
He bought everything even Oreos for his daughter but he had a feeling he had forgotten something. It was the way he kept staring at his phone, a sweat almost breaking on his bald head, I wanted to tell him, “Sir, it’s the green tea, that’s what you’ve forgotten.”
He looked at my shopping and I could see his face going down memory lane to his bachelor days, only nostalgia was not going to help him remember what he had forgotten. ”That is going to be one long journey back to the supermarket for green tea,” I thought while the cashier punched out my tissue paper and soap.
