Over the long term, we shouldn’t have political gerrymandering in America, just a fair fight between Republicans and Democrats based on who’s got better ideas. Trump deported home health aide Heidy Sánchez who was breastfeeding her 1-year-old US citizen daughter who has health issues. The baby girl was so traumatized that she had to be taken to the hospital.

The father is in the US legally and Heidy was awaiting a response to a request to become legal. There was no due process. There was no option for her to take her daughter with her.

Let’s talk about the foolishness of Black preachers who sell their souls for a photo-op.

So let me get this straight—Donald Trump, the same man leading a crusade to erase Black history from schools, threatening to defund HBCUs for teaching Black history, and championing white supremacist policies, is hosting a Black History Month event at the White House? And some of these so-called Black preachers are out here grinning ear to ear, proudly posting their invitations like they just received a divine calling from heaven? The hypocrisy is astounding. How are you celebrating Black history with a man who is trying to erase every civil rights game that our ancestors fought, bled, and died for?

How do you, as a supposed shepherd of Black souls, justify celebrating Black history with a man who has spent his political career trying to bury it? The same man who called white supremacists “very fine people,” tried to overthrow the first Black president with a racist birther lie, and gleefully called for the execution of the Central Park Five—even after they were proven innocent—is now your host for a Black history celebration?

These preachers are so desperate for validation from white power that they’ll bow down to a man who mocks their very existence. They’ll sell out their own people for a cheap seat at the table of oppression. Trump isn’t honoring Black history; he’s mocking it. He’s using you—the gullible Black preacher—as his political prop, his token, his shield against accusations of racism. And like clockwork, some of you keep running to Massa’s house for the crumbs he throws your way.

You can’t claim to be about justice while breaking bread with a man who wants to criminalize the teaching of Black truth. You can’t claim to love your people while lending your presence to a white nationalist’s desperate PR stunt. You can’t claim to be a leader while leading Black folks straight into the hands of their oppressor.

This isn’t about party politics; this is about integrity. And if you, as a Black preacher, are too blind to see that you’re being used, then you’ve already lost your soul.

Judge John Coughenour came out with the following statement after issuing a preliminary injunction on Trumps executive order for ending birthright citizenship.

"It has become ever more apparent that to our president, the rule of law is but an impediment to his policy goals.

The rule of law is, according to him, something to navigate around or simply ignore, whether that be for political or personal gain…

There are moments in the world's history where people look back and ask, ‘Where were the lawyers, where were the judges?" Coughenour said.

"In these moments, the rule of law becomes especially vulnerable. I refuse to let that beacon go dark today."
