Most of us knew Rs. 2000/- Note would not stay a legal tender for long. The purpose was always to infuse money quickly after a unplanned demonitisation. But as things normalised, banks had stopping giving Rs. 2000/- notes. Govn stopped printing it and we rarely saw to being used
