I just went to Tim Hortons for the first time in a long time to buy a medium steep tea with two cream, it cost $2.40. this will be the last time I ever visited Tim Hortons
The rooster thinks it's time to crow.
The ant thinks it's time to dig.
The wolf thinks it's time to hunt.
The people around you. What are they doing? That's what they think it's time for.
@TheAngryNormie If you know something for 10 years and don't say it, then you say it, people think you "just learned" or "changed"
If you know 10,000 things and you only say 3 things, people think you know 3 things.
I'm just putting this out there...
I believe we should only be breeding the best of the best for the sake of humanity, regardless of .... (Put whatever categories/parameters here)
Sorry if this causes the end of the world.
I want to tag @ItIsHoeMath for this post. Hopefully you reach out someday.
@IOWNME3 This is the most true answer to the question "how do people form their beliefs?" Which is good. That means you know how to think.
But the question we are trying to answer here is "who can think for themselves?" And the most true answer is "high IQ masculine white men."
I hear what you are saying and I haven't read that book. So please take this response with a grain of sand.
I am a star trek fan and in the show there are food replicators and it seems like there is plenty of power for a planet with people to survive without having to think or worry about it to the general public (obviously the show doesn't go deep into the details of this).
I believe the "powers to be" (either left or right or even center) is trying to prepare civilization to cope with these new technologies without destroying each other.
I could also be extremely wrong about this but there always seems to be a balance with everything. So I believe we are either close to balancing everything OR we are about to break the fulcrum.
Keep what you are doing because I believe you are helping people see the difference.
@TuckerCNews I don't believe people should be shot for expressing their opinions.
I also don't believe people should celebrate a person being killed for expressing their opinions.
I also believe we don't live in a world right now where we can have both.
I share personal stories on X to show that I'm human, just like many of you on here. I'm no longer anonymous. Everyone knows my name is Martin Belanger, that I'm an engineer, that I live in Alberta and I'm proud of my wife, and my 4 kids. Martyupnorth is just a moniker (almost a trade name) I adopted years ago, and I still like to use it, but I'm not anonymous.
Some people think I'm crazy for doing that. I put myself out there because many of you can't. Doing it as a real person is much more effective than doing it as an anonymous account.
Putting myself out there comes at a price. I get trolls and assholes like this all the time now. Not going to lie, I'm human and some of them get under my skin. Which is why I have no problem using the block function. I'm trying to build a community on line, just like I do in real life, and I don't have time for idiots, assholes, trolls and other morons.
When I do get these types of negative comments, I try to remind myself that I'm obviously over the target.
Cheers to all you real people out there. Have yourselves a great day, and be sure to celebrate yours or someone else's accomplishment today. Pay it forward.
@ItIsHoeMath
Hey, I know this is a long shot. But I would love to have a conversation with you. I love your work, but I think you want to do more (outside of relationship information).
You are right, you shouldn't let people like that bother you.
Every day sober should be celebrated.
The love of my life is a year sober, I couldn't be more proud of her, but more importantly she is really proud of herself!
Keep it going and get to the three year mark and beyond.
@TheJoeySwoll I know I'm just a random guy that probably won't have any effect on this, but my opinion of you is that you are a good man. Whatever that means in a world like today, who knows? Sorry you're going through this. Your videos always seemed like inspiration to me. Good luck bro.
