According to Indian Oil Corporation reports, Base price of petrol is around ₹53/litre.

In India:

• Dealer commission ~ ₹4
• Central Excise ~ ₹22
• State Tax ~ ₹17

Final Price = ₹100+

Meaning ₹39+ goes into govt pocket.

But when petrol is exported to Bhutan, India exempts these taxes.

So Bhutan gets petrol near base price.

Bhutan applies nominal Sales tax + Green Tax on petrol.

Final price in Bhutan~ ₹60–63/litre.

Indians pay almost double for the same petrol.

Another frightening incident from Uttarakhand

Yesterday morning, a woman from Pab village in Pokhari area went to the forest to collect grass and did not return home till evening. During the family’s search, her scarf and belongings were found along with blood stains, raising fears of a wild animal attack.

Today morning she has been found injured in the forest, and local villagers, the Forest Department and SDRF teams are reaching the spot.

This comes right after the previous incident where another woman’s face was torn apart in a bear attack.

How many more warnings do we need before someone accepts that this is no longer normal?

Two women wearing burqas entered a Muslim wedding ceremony at Mannat Function Hall, Chandrayangutta X Road, and allegedly stole several ladies’ purses before leaving the venue unnoticed.

The theft came to light later when women guests searched for their purses and found them missing. A complaint was immediately raised with the function hall management. Upon reviewing CCTV footage, the management confirmed that two women were involved in stealing the bags and purses.
