The Department of Small Business Development (DSBD), together with its agency SEDFA, participated in the Airports Company South Africa (ACSA) MSME Development Workshop held on 07 May 2026 at the Southern Sun Hotel in Cape Town, Western Cape.

The workshop formed part of ACSA’s Enterprise and Supplier Development initiatives aimed at strengthening the participation of MSMEs within the aviation sector and integrating them into formal supply chains.

Bringing together entrepreneurs, government departments, and strategic partners, the engagement provided valuable insights on corporate compliance, taxation, regulatory requirements, procurement readiness, and access to funding opportunities. Through collaborations with stakeholders including SARS, the dtic, BCCEI, and the Department of Employment and Labour, the programme continues to empower small businesses to become more competitive, sustainable, and ready to participate meaningfully in the economy.
