The thing with psychological warfare in competitive situations like sports is that your opponents need SOMETHING to grab onto. Family, past, or some insecurity.

In Jude's case, the Argentina players like De Paul and Paredes knew that if fame and fortune were out of the equation and the three of them were at a bar, they'd be more desired by women than the Brit.

Even Jude knows this.

When your opponent is objectively more handsome than you, it's easier for their mind games to work.

When I got my first job in sales I made 90 k my first year. 6 years in school to make 90 k is a choice. That median includes people 25-65 as well. So the older people are raising the median a bit as well.

A trade worker often has a 10-year head start. The degree holder may only catch up later if the degree leads to a high-income field.

That's the median for all races. If you look at the stats specifically for Black people with master's degrees, it drops to about $70k. The college payoff looks a lot different depending on who is holding the degree. This is coming from someone who’s pro college and has a degree.
