๐จ Jeremy Doku has not been good enough, and that's becoming a real concern.
He was benched, and at first I thought it was because he had left the Belgium camp to be with his family.
But when he came on, he was disappointing. Throughout the minutes he was given, Doku struggled to make any real impact. His decision making was poor, his final ball lacked quality, and he looked far from his best.
That performance only reinforced something I've been thinking for a while.
Pep Guardiola deserves huge credit for how he manages Doku at Manchester City. Pep's system allows him to play to his strengths while covering many of his weaknesses.
With Belgium, that protection isn't there, and his flaws become much more visible.
Doku can beat defenders with ease, but football isn't won by dribbles alone. At the highest level, your end product, decision making, and overall influence on the game matter just as much.
Why it's was a concern is that, Mareaca system needs a working wingers, Doku right now isn't it and that writes alot on our next season
@ayirdeArsenal@Culturecams But whatโs best for Belgium is having Doku left Trossard right. Trossard is more capable of playing on the right than Doku
