16-year-old Tiffany Bradley from Allentown, Pennsylvania, was trafficked into the Boston area. She was murdered by Eugene McCollom in his room at the Lynn YMCA. He strangled her, decapitated and dismembered her body, dumped her torso in a Chelsea parking lot, and buried her head and hands at Nahant Beach.
For over two decades she was known only as “Chelsea Jane Doe.” McCollom even lied to police, calling her “Lisa,” an adult from Philadelphia.
Her family reported her missing in November 2000 and never gave up hope. This week in 2026, thanks to DNA and genetic genealogy, Tiffany finally has her name back.
She was a daughter, a niece, a cousin, a basketball player — a child who deserved to grow up.

Joshua James King assaulted Andrea Puerta in an unprovoked attack aboard a Miami Metromover train at the Fifth Street station in Brickell.

Surveillance video captured the incident: King, then 25 (some reports listed him as 20), entered the car where Puerta (then 29) was sitting alone, briefly exited, then returned and repeatedly punched her more than 20 times in the head and upper body. He also threw her against the side of the car. Puerta begged him to stop, briefly lost consciousness, and suffered bruises, a bloody ear, and a black eye.

She did not know him beforehand.

King was arrested shortly after and also attacked two other men on the same train minutes later. He faced charges including aggravated battery (felonies) and misdemeanor battery. He was released on a low $1,500 bond despite the attacks, partly due to no prior criminal record.

His defense cited mental health issues (possible schizophrenia), and the court ordered evaluations while he was on house arrest with GPS monitoring in Tallahassee.

The case drew significant attention, leading to increased security (including undercover officers) on the Metromover system. Puerta and other victims pursued lawsuits against Miami-Dade County and the security contractor, and she publicly shared her ordeal and called for stronger punishment and better transit safety.

Like Donald Trump, he saw physical courage and tough competition as virtues intrinsic to America.
