Today, 34 students from the pioneer SAFE–ILEAD Clubs at Makerere University graduate from Module One of the John Maxwell I Choose & ILEAD Leadership Program after completing 12 leadership lessons through peer-to-peer learning and mentorship.

MESSAGE FROM THE STUDENT REPRESENTATIVE OF THE GRADUATION CLASS COHORT 1 ;KASHIF GEORGE.

George, speaking on behalf of the iLEAD Class of 2026, opened with gratitude and a commitment:

He thanked iLEAD for the opportunity to learn, and the Emerging Leaders Program for creating partnerships that actually work — partnerships that opened doors for growth.

But he didn’t stop at “thank you.” He shared what the journey taught them:
1. Resilience— how to stand when it’s easier to sit.
2. Choices— how decisions, not conditions, shape a leader.
3. Priorities— how to tell the difference between urgent and important.

His pledge to the class was clear: We won’t hoard what we learned.
They’re committed to take these lessons beyond this room — to teach, to share, to reach those who didn’t get a chance to be part of this cohort.

Class of 2026: The assignment now is multiplication.
What you learned here, preach it. Live it. Pass it on.
