I have found the key to happiness is gratitude. The thankful are by nature humbled by the grace of others and cognizant of the miracles that surround us every single day.

🚨 The High Court has earlier today, 22 Dec 2025 (Monday), rejected Datuk Seri Najib’s judicial review bid over the restricted Addendum Order related to serving his sentence under house arrest.
My opinion;
The High Court’s ruling underlines a simple but crucial point: any court order or royal addendum needs to be clearly established and follow proper legal procedures. It cannot be assumed, hinted at, or pushed through political influence. Seen this way, the decision upholds the integrity of the rule of law.
Public perception?
I would say it's a split.
i) Some see this as the courts standing their ground,
ii) Others interpret it as yet another sign of unclear processes and uneven application within our institutions.
I further opine that Najib’s case — particularly the alleged royal addendum — has been politicised in many ways:
i) His supporters frame the situation as unfair treatment, selective targeting, or a slight against royal authority, rather than confronting the corruption conviction itself. This shifts the focus from the rule of law to a narrative of personal grievance.
Kedua-dua pilihan mempunyai harga politik masing-masing.
iv) By dragging the monarchy, the judiciary, and the executive into the public spotlight, the case risks undermining confidence in our institutions. What should remain a straightforward legal matter is being turned into a constitutional and political flashpoint.
v) Najib’s case is being used to rally his base before elections, casting him as a figure of Malay pride, loyalty, or former stability, while downplaying the fact that he is a convicted ex-prime minister.
Any lessons from Najib’s case?
i) No one is above the law,
ii) Leadership integrity is crucial,
iii) Politics and law can intertwine,
iv) A reputation built over years can be destroyed quickly,
v) Accountability cannot be ignored.
Manfaat kes Najib untuk negara?
i) Menguatkan sistem undang-undang, ii)Meningkatkan kesedaran rakyat tentang integriti,
iii) Mendorong reformasi institusi,
iv) Memberi pengajaran kepada pemimpin lain,
v) Memupuk budaya akauntabiliti.
With the High Court’s ruling out, what should the rakyat do now?
To move on by learning the lessons:
i) Value integrity,
ii) Hold leaders accountable,
iii) Support institutional reforms,
iv) Turn frustration into informed action — not cynicism.
Wallahualam.
