Back in January 2014 we posted the announcement for Platinum on the Bitcointalk forum. At the time most coins simply started with a thread, a wallet download, and a few folks curious enough to mine and see where it went.

Platinum was one of those projects. A straightforward Scrypt chain with fast blocks and a simple structure. Nothing overly complicated, just something people could run, mine, and experiment with.

Recently we came across https://t.co/rJlU0Pw9Lu and the idea caught our attention. It reminded us a bit of those earlier days when launching something new on the internet was simple again.

So we decided to bring Platinum back.

Today we’re relaunching the first Platinum coin to ever exist on https://t.co/rJlU0Pw9Lu.
