@rashidogodon If buying isn't owning, then piracy isn't stealing.
(I'd argue piracy isn't stealing even if buying WAS owning, since you're not stealing anything, only making a copy, but still)
@inari_naiyan@Mawhwile@cocacola_lesson@MIKITO_777 They're not poor because they want to be poor, or even because they don't want to work. The job crisis affects everyone seeking a job, so it's harder to find a job nowadays than it was, say, 5 years ago. And think about all the vulnerable groups discriminated against.
@Mawhwile Disagree because you're making it squarely about Japan and not about shitty corporate practices which exist in every country making culturally significant media.
@MIKITO_777 It is NOT only for Japanese products. Pirates don't discriminate. It's just that most Americans don't get set ablaze by Disney works being pirated.
@unixzii Really cool! Would love to see the source code, so please make it public, even if it's messy.
I'm developing an operating system for the OG iPod touch so it'd really help out :D
@heyshubhamsinha@paramdane The impact is that vulnerable devices (ie. ones that haven't updated the certificate revocation list) can be MitM'd without setting off alarms. In other words, an entity on your network can pretend to be any site and your browser would just trust it.
@hiko_ssasa The same country that makes it extremely hard and expensive to get in and buy stuff from them, and the same country that upcharges foreigners because they're foreign?
@Docstevens007@Vexatious_Gums@hell_line0 Then should we say that all non-transgender men are rapists because most rape cases are perpetrated by straight non-trans men?
