@CCCAnimals @kaitrouillard@AcademicChatter@PostdocVoice It’s an automated email with no consequences. Associate editors barely have time to do their academic work, let alone check their journal emails to which many don’t get paid for.
@AdamCSchembri I would have to decline. I recently wrote a College-wide notification on how predatory journals often lean on big-named academics with the promise of discounted publication fees, knowing that they will use their social standing to facilitate the submission of several articles.

If they don’t want to wait for your comments, then that’s indicative of their supervision style (or lack thereof).
We need to do more to support the mental health of those in academia. Let's create a culture of understanding and provide the resources needed for all members of the academic community to thrive.
