It’s easy to look at all the things I’m missing this year, as a virtual teacher. It’s also possible to find joy where you can. These gingerbread people turned out so good and it was so fun to do something like this as a class.
I got “BOOed” at work! Being a virtual teacher can feel a little isolating, but the school we joined has made us feel welcome. I’ve also gotten to know teachers and have made new friends through this experience. https://t.co/TdKrtG8rvR
Today I was peer pressured by friends to check my voting status and get a flu shot. Somehow I thought peer pressure would be a little more fun. #SleeveUp#vote
Just because you teach virtually doesn’t mean you can’t have a pajama day! It was so fun to visit with my class and be in our pajamas. I love getting to know each of them. #virtualteacher#iteachthird https://t.co/C11LvgyIhY
I would like to connect the students in my virtual classroom with people and careers that they may not usually see. If you can record short video introducing yourself and a little about what you do at your job while AT your job, please PM me!
Behind the scenes of a Virtual Teacher! Today was a bit hectic and the learning curve is steep. Even through a screen, seeing the faces of you class makes your heart happy. ❤️
Game changer for teaching while masked and while students are socially distanced. My students were able to hear me well without straining my voice all day.
We need to eliminate or reduce standardized testing during the 2020 – 21 school year. During this crisis it’s important to prioritize school time on those activities that benefit students most.

Reminder- If IREAD3 is administered to 4th graders in the fall, student “baseline” data to determine “COVID loss” will be available in December.
This lag along w/ $, COVID reentry transition demands, and other already used/available assessments is my reasoning for “no” vote.
