NASCAR has removed Kyle Busch from its point standings, a decision made following conversations with RCR about how to handle Busch's death and being empathetic of the impact to those who would see his name in the standings.
NASCAR held an industry call Friday morning after Kyle Busch's passing to discuss the weekend at Charlotte. Mike Forde, on Hauler Talk, said Bubba Wallace chimed in with:
"He goes, 'Hey, OD, I think I have the perfect idea. To honor Kyle, I think what he would want is to raise the horsepower level this weekend by 100.'"
Brexton, at 11 years old, honoring his late father while staying strong for his grieving mother is something I’ll never forget seeing. Your dad is so proud of you. 💔
@Team_FRM@CSmith_Racing Bringing that trashcan to a stop to force the caution, to solidify the win for @LayneRiggs99. Wouldn't have been so obvious if he didnt get rolling again.
Fucks sake.
Smashed a watermelon and took a bow for KB 🍉❤️
Thank you to everyone at @JRMotorsports and @CarolinaCarpor1 for making this happen!! Two more shots to get another trophy tomorrow!
