@olakunlesoriyan You can love yourself into mediocrity, foolishness and nuisance.
There have to be certain Measures and boundaries, guiding the concept of self love if it must yield positive outcome
It’s cooking. Block off your January 24-26 2025. If you need to plan and set goals or you seek New Year resolutions, you’ll need coaches; NOT this room. This is for DOERS who have transcended the basics.
It’s the FEEDBACK FROM THE FUTURE INDABA, my annual Strategic Fore-sighting Immersion since 2015. In what promises to be a weekend of transformation and newness, the conversation is themed:
“THE 2025 BREAKTHROUGH:
Catalyzing Six Years of Global Reinvention and How Only the Agentic and Intelligentsia will Define, Lead and Shape Tomorrow’s Success.”
We are Unveiling the Tools, Insight, Strategy and Bold Leadership to Command the Next Six Years 2025-2030. While “Happy New Year” is a mantra every mouth can shout, 2025 however is not just another year. The entire universe has arrived at a pivotal moment in our understanding of time, space and matter, redefining scale, urgency, success and power in the process, even emphasizing transformation on a galactic level. Everything is about to change and by 2030, everyday life as we know it will be gone.
Success in 2025 will demand that organizations (and entities generally) not only grasp individual trends but also understand how these trends intersect to unlock new opportunities. The true defining factor for the winners of the future is not whether change will occur, but how swiftly individuals and organizations can adapt, leverage the shifts, and deliver authentic value to users and customers.

No, because seriously, we need to touch grass in this country!
Do you know how many rapes happen in Nigeria DAILY? Have you ever tried to prosecute a rapist in Nigeria? Do you have any idea how difficult it is and how terribly the criminal justice system is set up so that the vast majority of rape victims who even bother to report the crime end up gassing out midway through and leaving it to God? There is no NGO for that! The few NGOs that exist in that space are funded with a bag of peanuts and 3 twigs. They can take on maybe 5 cases a year.
Have you ever tried to seek assistance for human trafficking victims? There is no fucking NGO for that! I know because on this app, I crowdfunded a campaign to help a 15 year-old girl from Nigeria get back to Enugu after she was trafficked into prostitution in Abidjan. There was no NGO I reached out to that could do anything for her as soon as she got into Nigeria, and I lost contact with her. Who knows, maybe she was eventually trafficked back to Cote d’Ivoire?
There are no well-supported NGOs for these real, actual problems we have that need solving. You know the NGOs we DO have with million dollar funding?
We have NGOs with offices in Abuja and Lagos paying people full time salaries in dollar equivalent to do transgender and LGBTQ advocacy - American culture war trash that is famously relevant to our national situation the same way snow falls in Aghenebode.
We have Abuja NGOs funded with millions of dollars annually to do "advocacy" concerning "climate change," "energy transition" and "sustainable development" in a country where the statistical majority has never witnessed 15 unbroken hours of electricity or used the Internet before.
Meanwhile, something as simple as an NGO that provides free legal services to the (hundreds of thousands of) rape victims recorded annually - WE DON'T HAVE IT!
What we have in Wuse and Garki that we call "civil society" is whatever white people come to Africa and project onto us! Instead of solving our actual problems, we're busy using vast amounts of energy and English to solve the problems that oyibos told us to have - problems that we still don't actually have!
How are we in a country with creaking infrastructure that has seen no new investment since the 1970s; where dams are giving way and causing floods due to zero maintenance for the past 38 years, and the civil society is busy talking about "climate change" and "sustainable development"?
Are you people completely mad? Is there something psychotropic that oyibos spray into the air in Abuja that makes you people completely forget where you are and the actual, real-life problems that you deal with on a day to day basis?
@olakunlesoriyan Two forces, complementing and enhancing the impact of the other.
Truly, we are not to be scared of darkness but take ourselves as light to such space, no matter how little that light seem to be.
This and more is the beauty of the universe.
Thank you PK
White and Black are two great colors; but script writers and power blocs who document history defining narratives gave both colors the meaning that work for their unique agendas. Today, white is loved by all, and black is one you greet with anxiety, fear, opacity and suspicion. What a great misfortune for two powerful brands. It’s same for Light and Darkness. Both brands are natural phenomena that the fear, ignorance and opaqueness that characterize religions everywhere placed a wrong narrative on. Yet, they both remain natural gifts from the Creator. To those who are spiritual and full of faith, beyond the limited context and contents of religion, Darkness and Light are to awesome brands that are same on the level we understand. I sleep and wake up in Darkness daily; and to God: “..the night shines as bright as day. Darkness and light are the same to you (Ps 139:12).”
We should not avoid the dark out of fear; rather we should be light to it—the beauty of the universe is incomplete without this sacred brand association. We fear NOTHING. Spread this if you agree #PKRuckus
I wrote this song, firstly as a call to instruct and urge my own heart to fervent, continuing prayer…
