Btw, one thing this past week has proven as regards this galactico talk is there are very few players itw today that fit that description. There was a time almost every culturally big team in the top 5 leagues had that one superstar level talent.
🚨🗣️Galeno (Al Ahli player):“They want to gift the trophy to only one person”
Al Ahli was given 15 mins in stoppage time tonight to score a goal, so is his anger justified? 🤔
$50 MILLION in contracts won by women we trained. 🧵🪡
This #IWD2026 week, we're celebrating 6 women from our WEEAP, SWEEP & SWEEAP network who went from training to WINNING.
This is what economic justice looks like in action.
We’re not talking about it that much not because “We no get motion” but because we’re “JADED”.
One disadvantage of being a fan of Real Madrid is that we’ve experienced so many elite moments that things which amaze the rest of the football world sometimes feel common to us.
I’ve seen Rodrygo score a hat-trick on his UCL debut against Galatasaray.
I’ve seen Vini score a hat-trick against Dortmund.
I watched Karim Benzema score a hat-trick against PSG in March 2022. The next month, April, he scored another hat-trick against Chelsea, and the month after that he scored a brace against Man City. Ramadan Karim>>>>>
And then there’s Cristiano Ronaldo with hat-tricks against clubs like Wolfsburg, Bayern Munich, Atl Madrid, and Juventus
Kylian Mbappé even scored a hat-trick against Man City last season.
Real Madrid have made so many comebacks that comebacks have become normal to us. The whole football world calls us the ‘Kings of comebacks’.
There’s no category of goal I haven’t seen a Madrid player score.
Is it Sergio Ramos’ 93rd-minute header in the Champions League final?
Cristiano Ronaldo’s overhead kick?
Gareth Bale’s brace in the UCL final against Liverpool F.C. or his famous solo run against FC Barcelona?
Zidane's stunning left-footed volley?
Rodrygo’s late goals against Manchester City F.C.?
Vini's nutmeg goal against City?
Federico Valverde’s rocket against Napoli?
Or Casemiro scoring past Buffon?
The list is endless.
Real Madrid have spoiled their fans with so much success that any season we don’t win the UEFA Champions League feels like a bad season.
So expecting Madrid fans to start shouting on Twitter because Federico Valverde scored a hat-trick against Man City is like expecting Elon Musk to be happy that you followed him on this app while nah him get the app!

🗣️ Raphinha: "Entiendo la ira de Vinícius con el tema del racismo, este tipo de cosas llevan a la gente al límite. Vini siempre está contento, sonriendo y bromeando, pero se toma muy en serio el tema del racismo. Entiendo a Vini."

MANDATE4 STATEMENT ON THE #OCCUPYNASS PROTEST
February 9, 2026
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Mandate4 Stands in Solidarity with Nigerian Citizens Demanding Electronic Transmission of Election Results
Abuja, Nigeria – Today, February 9, 2026, concerned Nigerian citizens have assembled at the National Assembly in Abuja to exercise their constitutional right to peaceful protest under the #OccupyNASS movement. These citizens are demanding immediate legislative action to mandate electronic transmission of election results in Nigeria.
The Issue is Clear:
Electronic transmission of election results is not a luxury, it is a fundamental requirement for electoral integrity in the 21st century. The manual collation of results has repeatedly been identified as a critical vulnerability in our electoral process, creating opportunities for manipulation, delays, and the erosion of public trust in our democracy.
Our Position:
1. Transparency is Non-Negotiable: Every Nigerian vote must count, and citizens have the right to real-time visibility of election results as they are recorded at polling units.
2. Technology Enables Accountability: Electronic transmission eliminates the opacity of manual collation and reduces opportunities for result manipulation during transportation and consolidation.
3. The People Have Spoken: The demand for electoral reform is not partisanit is a civic imperative that transcends political affiliations. Nigerians deserve an electoral system that reflects their will accurately and transparently.
