Sayaka Watanabe(-Kancolongo), who took office as Superintendent of Education in Minoh City, Osaka Prefecture, this April, is an activist who founded an NPO to support African refugees in finding employment in Japan. She is also a schemer who married an African man and, just before giving birth, using tourist visa to give birth to an “anchor baby” in the United States.
Questions are mounting in the city as to why she was appointed to the position of Superintendent of Education despite having no prior involvement in education whatsoever.
Furthermore, Minoh Mayor Ryo Harada has been blocking X users one after another who have raised questions about this puzzling appointment.
