Nobody is coming to save you. The sooner you accept that, the sooner you start actually moving.
One of the most common human flaws is wishful thinking - wanting something to be true without doing anything to make it happen.
For this to happen, you need to find people who have a high degree of ownership. They understand the value of owning the outcomes, even if it doesn’t directly benefit them. They recognize that the ultimate reward is the skill they have acquired because they owned the process.
The most dangerous form of laziness is performative productivity. Notes, tabs, highlights, summaries, plans. A whole pile of activity arranged to avoid direct contact with the work.
There is no miracle bigger than waking up to see a new day
Asking God for a miracle to make money is like asking someone who gave you 5 million Naira for 5000 naira to buy lunch
You are awake.
Stand the hell up and go get money.
Be grateful
Lol. It’s interesting seeing people surprised that someone leaves a high-paying career.
In economics, money has diminishing marginal utility although it depends on the value each person places on it or the things it can afford.
While for a few persons, more income always remains a strong driver, for most people, once a certain level of comfort is reached, additional money adds less and less to overall satisfaction.
The jump from $0 → $50K annually can be life-changing. $50K → $200K? Perhaps even more life-changing.
$200K → $500K? Less so for a lot of people.
$500K → $1M annually? Way smaller for many.
But that “plateau point” isn’t universal, it depends on your preferences, risk tolerance, and what you derive utility from.
So when people walk away, it’s not irrational. It just means their utility function places greater weight on something other than more income.
Meanwhile, you cannot even tell for a fact that their new endeavor will not fetch them more money.
Just a friendly reminder because social media will have you confused.
1. Men need women.
2. Women need men.
3. 50/50, 100/0, 70/30 is cool - Do you
4. A cheater will cheat on anyone.
5. Being single is fine.
6. There is nothing wrong with a 9-5.
7. Health is wealth.
8. Social media is not real life.
The monetization of love is something I detest terribly.
Sadly, men are the enablers of buying love with money.
It’s okay for money to be in the mix, don’t lower your living standards but also don’t make it the bane of your relationship.
Sha, marriage is a business decision.
Flogging a child because of school fees is something I would never understand, like is he supposed to pay by himself, catch the parents and flog them noww.
I know this year has been challenging for many of us. Things didn’t go as we hoped, prayers seemed unanswered, and it feels tiring. But don’t give up on God. Though it tarries, it will definitely come to pass. Hold on to the Word of God because it never fails. Be encouraged.❤️
