The Iberian Peninsula, known as Al-Andalus, was a flourishing Muslim-majority society for centuries.

How did it become overwhelmingly Christian?
Mind you, it was not through peaceful preaching. It was through the bloody Reconquista, the brutal Spanish Inquisition, and the forced mass expulsion of Muslims.

The Catholic monarchs gave them a stark choice: convert, face the sword, or be permanently exiled.

You want to know why the broader historical pattern looks the way it does? When Muslims ruled regions such as Egypt or the Levant, they allowed Christian populations to survive and practice their faith for centuries under the Islamic framework. You can fact check me on this.

But when Christian empires reconquered Muslim lands like Spain or Sicily, they systematically eradicated the Muslim populations through forced conversions and ethnic cleansing.

Before you use Turkey to frame a narrative about historical intolerance, you have to reckon with the full picture.

Anatolia did not become Muslim overnight by the sword; it was a gradual, 400-year process driven by social integration and Sufi influence.

Even at the height of the Ottoman Empire, a lot of Christian populations thrived under the millet system. The final shift to '99%' only happened in the 20th century due to secular nationalist conflicts and the 1923 population exchange between Turkey and Greece.

As such, blaming Islamic theology for 20th-century secular nation-building is just lazy history.

The undeniable historical pattern is that Islamic governance preserved minority faiths, while the conquering empires you conveniently left out of your timeline mandated absolute erasure.

Allah said _"Kill them wherever you find them..."_ Qur'an 2:191

Christians always quote this verse, but they never ask the simple question: WHO IS "THEM"?

You cannot know who "THEM" if you don't read the verse before it.

Qur'an 2:190 says:
_"Fight in the way of Allah THOSE WHO FIGHT YOU but do not transgress."_

So "THEM" in 191 is NOT Christians. "THEM" is NOT innocent people. "THEM" is NOT your neighbours.

"THEM" Means The people who were fighting the Muslims, who expelled them from their homes in Makkah, who tortured and killed them.

That is why 191 itself says:
"Expel them from wherever they have expelled you.", so it's a counter attack and self defense.

Did Christians expel Muslims from Makkah? No.
Did Christians torture Muslims in Makkah? No.
That was the Quraysh idol-worshippers.

And they also hide the verse AFTER it.

Qur'an 2:192 says:
_"And if they cease, then indeed Allah is Forgiving and Merciful."_

Even with those attackers, the moment they STOP, we must STOP.
That is Islam.

And Allah makes it even clearer in another Surah:

Qur'an 4:90:
"So if they withdraw from you, and do not fight you, and offer you peace, then Allah has NOT given you any way to fight against them.

No way. No excuse. No permission, Islam did never ever give any Muslim right to kill any non muslim just like that.

The verses clearly said if they don't fight you and they offer peace, Allah has closed the door for you to fight them.

And this is how Allah commands us to treat Christians who live in peace with us:

Qur'an 60:8:
"Allah does not forbid you from those who do not fight you because of religion and do not expel you from your homes- from being righteous toward them and acting justly toward them. Indeed, Allah loves those who act justly."

Allah Even praise Christians in Qur'an 5:82
"You will surely find the most intense of the people in animosity toward the muslims [to be] the Jews and those who associate others with Allah; and you will find the nearest of them in affection to the Muslims are those who say, 'We are Christians.' That is because among them are priests and monks and because they are not arrogant."

They are the "nearest in affection" to the believers. Because among them are priests and monks who are "not arrogant" unlike the Jews.

So don't let anyone fool you with one verse cut in half.

190 tells you WHO to fight.
191 tells you to defend yourself against them.
192 tells you to STOP when they stop.
4:90 tells you you have NO RIGHT to fight those who offer peace.
60:8 tells you to be KIND and JUST to Christians who don't fight you.

ARISE reported that someone had been sentenced to 14 years in prison for converting another person against her will. It was subsequently established that this wasn’t what happened; the case concerned the abduction of a minor, which was the basis for the sentence.

But rather than acknowledge that the original report was false, some people have simply shifted the argument.

Do you see the pattern? When one narrative falls apart, another is introduced to keep the attack going.

It becomes less about seeking the truth and more about finding another reason to attack Islam.
