No inventory of which model string lives where. No record of what it was tuned against. No regression tests before swapping.

Just assume it stays stable.

It doesn't.

You pin library versions. You treat a major bump as a breaking change. You never ship requests==latest in production.

But somehow model strings get hardcoded in application logic and never touched again.
