Not only Moniepoint is guilty of this. In the general financial sector in Nigeria, there is a shortchanging of Nigerians. Here are the stats for those who like to argue otherwise.

For every dollar earned, Nigerian 🇳🇬 banks pay 4 to 5 cents [about 5%] to staff, the rest is profit for CEOs and shareholders.

India 🇮🇳 pays 9 cents [about 10%] for every dollar revenue.

US 🇺🇸 banks pay about 27 to 29 cents (about 30%).

The share of revenue to salary in Nigerian financial institutions is very very very low sadly, even half of India’s. Imagine.

so this is why people have been mad, for all the arguments in support of talent shortage, this is a very callous way of making an argument. the fact is yahoo and hookup culture arent even to blame. less than 1% of young nigerians are involved in these lifestyle to make such a generalized statement.

Also a leader in the industry making such drivel at a forum is just giving ammunition to those who already profile nigerians as incompetent at best and fraudulent at worst and use such spurious justification to deny nigerians opportunities they are qualified for.
