@SAMOYEDCORE Idk I feel the electors would be states that were once their own sovereign nation.
Like
1. Texas
2. Vermont
3. California
4. Hawaii
5. West Florida maybe- idk tho
@Godfather0fX I think there was more plausible deniability for Cersei because her kids had her traits. Whereas Rhaenyra’s kids had their father’s traits. That and the people who accused Cersei were her enemies. Rhaenyra’s accusers were all sorts of people.
@BigMeech62173 Yeah every time someone smacked him I thought: the sacred person of the king? SLAPPED? Cersei wielded her influence to straight end people for petty things. Joffrey was on another level
@redeemed_zoomer I agree, social media is full of recent Catholics who like to assert the institution of the church without any explanation of why any of the particulars are important.
@serphyyx She would have been better off just taking dragon stone and letting her brother Aegon rule in accordance with tradition. It's a solid deal. Rhaenys was left alone after not pressing her claim and she should have done the same. It solves so many of her issues
@Targ_Nation To be fair: she agitates everyone. Like various houses, the church, and common folk. There’s no way she wouldn’t have treated Aegon as a threat even if he didn’t press his claim
@MangaMeathead@HiraethHayseed Yeah it was but it’s different because unlike Stephen, Aegon is just the king’s first born son. So it doesn’t feel 100% analogous.
And personally for a historical instance of a succession dispute between a man and a woman I always refer people to read about Sophie of Thuringia
@Uc_heyy02@VeVeMeister An heir apparent is one who is indisputably heir when they are born. When she was born she wasn’t heir and doubly so when her other brother was briefly alive. She wasn’t heir briefly displaced which goes against the definition of an heir apparent. She is an heir presumptive.
@MangaMeathead@HiraethHayseed It’s worth mentioning before fire and blood was written GRRM made it so Aegon was just the first son and Rhaenyra had no claim. So it was intended for her to try to steal the throne from him before failing. But when he wrote the story he changed that so it would be better
@HiraethHayseed I love Stannis but he is a kinslayer and practices the wrong religion. Whereas I kinda take it Dany would be ok with the faith of the 7 should she ascend the iron throne. So that makes her more legit
