🚀 This Weekend's Mobile Dev Cohort Update
Finally getting into the zone! 📱🔥
This weekend was all about exploring mobile sensors and how smartphones understand the world around them:
Accelerometer
Gyroscope
Light Sensor
And now stepping into the exciting world of Sensor Fusion:
🔹 Magnetometer
🔹 Device Motion
🔹 Pedometer
It's fascinating to see how combining data from multiple sensors enables accurate orientation tracking, motion detection, navigation, fitness tracking, and much more.
Every session makes mobile development feel a little more magical. Looking forward to building real-world applications with these concepts! 🚀

Claude ne mere $6 uda diye sirf 2300 lines code likhne mein.
Itne paise mein to intern aa jaata 💀
2 ghante mein quota khatam ho gaya… iss se acha to haath se likh leta.

I think days are coming where writting code by hand needs to return this much cost is unsustainable
Frontend UI is complete for my Coffee Delivery app!
Built with React Navigation & Expo to master complex nested navigation flows (Stacks, Tabs, and Drawers working together).
Next phase: Building and integrating the backend.

Completed the peer review project by @surajtwt_ of mobile dev cohort 🔥😍
@ChaiCodeHQ@Hiteshdotcom
Goal was to use all types navigation in react native 👍
Finally, better late than never — got into the Gen AI Cohort of @Hiteshdotcom & @piyushgarg_dev
Had to convince mummy that this is the last step towards becoming an AI enabler 😅
Excited to learn, build, and go deeper into the world of AI with some amazing people.
Time to ship. 🔥
Don’t know if I should be sharing this or not, but scored 66/163 on the evaluation engine of @ChaiCodeHQ 😭
One thing I realized though — the engine is absolutely ruthless. It’s not just about frontend beauty or fancy UI. From the review patterns, it feels like a solid backend alone can fetch nearly 75% of the score.
Big takeaway: need to focus way more on building robust backend architecture instead of only polishing the frontend.

Saw the live class and then rewatched yesterday’s Web Dev Cohort recording again at 1.25x (not even 2x 😭) and it’s still flying over my head.
Topics today:
• Monorepo
• “Why Express should be dead” (just kidding 😭)
• RPC
• gRPC
• tRPC
• Workspace management using TurboRepo
At this point I’m just trusting the process, taking notes, replaying sections, Googling terms every 5 minutes, and hoping one day all these abstractions suddenly click together 💀

More States Should Promote Solar and EVs
@Hiteshdotcom Sir pricing thoda zyada aa raha hai even with early bird paisa khatam hogaya hai web dev aur app dev k baad kuch extra discount milta to sahi hota ....
Petrol and diesel prices in West Bengal are not just about crude oil — a huge portion is tax.
Approx breakdown in West Bengal today:
⛽ Petrol (~₹105/litre)
• Base price + dealer commission: ~₹60-65
• Central excise duty: ~₹18/litre
• West Bengal VAT & cess: ~₹20-22/litre
⛽ Diesel (~₹92-95/litre)
• Base price + dealer commission: ~₹62-67
• Central excise duty: ~₹14/litre
• West Bengal VAT & cess: ~₹12-15/litre
That means both Centre and State together take nearly ₹30-40 per litre in taxes.
Now if fuel prices need to be increased by ₹3 per litre to support oil companies during global crude price shocks, why not reduce taxes slightly and increase the base fuel price instead?
That way:
1. Oil companies recover losses
2.Governments still earn revenue
3. Consumers don’t bear the full burden through higher taxes on higher prices
Right now, every increase in base price also increases VAT collection for states because VAT is percentage-based. The common citizen ends up paying tax on top of tax.
Fuel pricing should balance:
• Consumer relief
• Oil company sustainability
• Government revenue
Not just automatic tax collection every time crude rises.

In today’s Mobile Dev Cohort, we’re navigating our way through React Navigation 🚀
One thing I genuinely like is that our mentor feels more like a real dev among us rather than some “all-knowing” teacher — and that’s actually motivating.
They use Google, Cursor, debug issues, know the logic, and sometimes forget syntax too. That makes learning feel real and practical instead of intimidating.
At the end of the day, great developers aren’t the ones who memorize everything — they’re the ones who know how to figure things out.
