There court be more hearings, I might not be aware. You can update in comment.

Otherwise, Khelte rahiye Court-Court Extension-Extension.
Today, on 25th I can't even say that extension should be timely... It's already too late.
Hope justice prevails.
Confirmed news: Director Judicial CBDT has informed all the parties and Associations who have filed writ to wait for a day or seek adjournment for today as the matter shall be decided today positively by CBDT.
Despite Rajasthan & Karnataka HC interim relief supporting TAR extension, painful confusion still prevails. CBDT must clarify—SC appeal or extension notification? Only then can work move forward peacefully. This chaos must END now. Need ample time for #TAR#ExtendTaxAuditDueDate
#TaxAuditExtension
More than 25 writs have already been filed by members for #TaxAudit Due Date Extension through various organisations.
Where are #ICAI and our elected representatives?

No more waiting please !!
Individuals and Associations reaching doors of Hon. Courts for Justice are not stupid. It was only #CBDT who made them do this by closing their eyes towards the ground reality, considering us as helpless & themselves to be Almighty.
CBDT will issue an extension notification for Tax Audit Due Dates today.
Finally, the collective voices of all CAs, ICAI, and other trade bodies have been heard.
Thank to all for trending #PenDownNoExtensionNoAudit

Dept. has only 1 redundant argument that due date of 30th Sep. was already known.
Its further added that, Dept. is well aware that 30th Sep. is a short time for Tax Audit, depending on various other complc. in btwn., why hvn't. they reinstated to 31st Oct. ?
In the Gujarat HC judgment (SCA No.15075/2015)
‘CBDT shall henceforth ensure that ITR utilities are ordinarily available on April 1 of the AY.’
CBDT never followed this court order since 10 years. Isn’t this amounts to contempt?

BIG BREAKING:
Rajasthan High court has passed very stringent observations against CBDT on Glitches on #Incometax portal while directing to extend the due date for filing of #TaxAuditreports.
Court said:
1) As reflected from the figures submitted by #CBDT , the shortfall in #TaxAuditreports are likely to ensure considerable chaos and may result in widespread non-compliance by tax payers with statutory requirements.
2) Judicial precedents exist wherein courts have intervened where requisite forms were not made available at the commencement of year and the CBDT failed to provide satiscactory justification for the delay.
3) The court is prima facie satisfied that there is significant disparity in filing statistics btween AY2024-25 and 2025-26 , this drastically reduced number of #TaxAuditreports filed this year.
4) The delayed release of returns and forms and intermittent functioning of e-filing utilities , the recurring technical glitches on the #Incometax portal, the extention granted for for individual ITR filings, and the foreseeable hardship to taxpayers in complying with statutory requirements, collectively necessitate immediate judicial intervention.
This is historic and very important observations by courts of the country directly implicating CBDT officials for non performance of their duties even after the new portal is now launched since 4 years. Even Taxpayers were not able to pay taxes on the portal on due date and hence will face interest payment of 3 months.
This calls for immediate action on #CBDT Chairman, officials and Service provider of the portal. Taxpayers are facing penalties and loss of time , energy , money because of Incometax department's non action on setting the portal right. @PMOIndia should immediately intervene and take action so that all the issues pertaining to tax administration are resolved.
Audits filed Till 23-09-24: 13.80 Lakh
Audits filed Till 23-09-25: 2.73 Lakh
Why have only 20% audits been filed this year.
Aisa toh nahi hai ki India ke Saare CA ek saath aalsi ho gaye. Kuch toh hoga reason. Thoda toh common sense lagaao @IncomeTaxIndia#ExtendAuditDueDate
As a CA, I feel stuck.
Clients are calling for answers, but I can’t even guide them properly. Why?
Because till 17th Sept we were buried in ITR filings.
Now Tax Audit, and still — NO extension announced.
Neither clients get clarity, nor do we get breathing space.
This isn’t efficiency, it’s BURNOUT.
