Each of the countless times I watched shows randomly insert something about Israel in shows and films, I would wish I had the time or skill to create something like this. To be sure, what this woman put together is a tiny glimpse. Pay attention next time you're watching something. He lived alongside Jews and Christian Arabs. They studied in the same schools. His family was friends with Jewish families. They coexisted peacefully.

For 13 centuries, Jews found refuge in Islamic states when Europe was persecuting them. Palestine welcomed them. The Ottoman Empire protected them.

The conflict began with the arrival of international Zionism. Not before. A political movement created the divide. The hatred you see today was manufactured, not inherited.

It's not love. It's gaslighting.

The problem is the social value of mansions in ushago. Why do we build castles there, when by the time we retire, our children won't be living with us? The house will be empty, and we will be struggling to climb up the stairs with our arthritic knees. And it doesn't help that stone structures are cold at an age where we need warmth

But when such a thing is a value social value, it's easy to gaslight someone and make them feel like an alien for not valuing such a project. And everyone praises you when you do it. With that social pressure, it's very difficult to resist. And someone breathing down your neck every day about it makes things even worse.

The problem starts in the political economy. Kenya's political economy is very feudal and forces us to make choices to keep certain relationships and to have a certain status. We need a revolution to sort this out.
