VIDEO | DCP New Delhi, Sachin Sharma clarifies that no application seeking permission for a march by CJP has been received by the Delhi Police, nor has any permission been granted.

He says, "In view of reports about a proposed march to Parliament by the Cockroach Janta Party on July 20, it is categorically clarified that no application seeking permission for such a march has been received by the Delhi Police, nor has any permission been granted. Prohibitory orders under Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS) are in force across the entire New Delhi district. Accordingly, the assembly of five or more persons, protest marches, or demonstrations are prohibited, except at the designated protest site at Jantar Mantar, and that too only with prior permission. The Parliament session is also commencing tomorrow. Therefore, elaborate security arrangements will be in place to ensure public safety, security, and the protection of vital government installations. Any person found violating the orders issued under Section 163 of the BNSS will be liable for legal action. Delhi Police appeals to all citizens to respect the law, refrain from participating in any unauthorised gatherings or marches, and cooperate in maintaining public peace and safety."
