Paisaa devlog #3 β Phase 3 done β
Budgets + Recurring, closed out. Dashboard now has zero hardcoded data β every single card is backed by a real query.
What's working:
β Budget CRUD β set a monthly limit per category, status bars auto-flip on-track β warning β over
β "ON TRACK" stamp on the passbook hero, computed live from real budget data (not a hardcoded badge)
β RecurringRule CRUD β SIP auto-invests + auto-debit subscriptions
β Dashboard's SIP reminder card actually populates now β "runs in 4 days Β· Nifty 50 SIP Β· Monthly"
Interesting bug: had a card that was technically "live" but permanently empty β it queried real data that had no way to ever exist, since there was no CRUD to create it. Wired that up too. Learned: "live" isn't the same as "testable end-to-end."
Next: polish pass + Investments tracking π

Building Paisaa in public π§΅
A personal finance tracker built for India β not a Western app with a βΉ sign slapped on it.
What makes it different:
β UPI, NEFT, Auto Debit as first-class payment methods
β Passbook aesthetic (not dashboards full of pie charts)
β βΉ denominated, Indian account types, Indian categories
Stack: Next.js Β· TypeScript Β· Prisma Β· PostgreSQL Β· Tailwind
Following along costs nothing. Let's build π

@ankur_datta_007 Appreciate you reaching out, Ankur. I'm mid-build on an Indian-first finance tracker on Prisma 7 (driver adapters, Rust-free). Happy to spin up Prisma Next in a sandbox repo and give honest feedback β will report back once I've put it through its paces.

Just had a look at @kirat_tw recent content on his research on Software market trends.
Loved his 5% Rule, AI and Web3 are growing rapidly and
is fueled by a lot of funding from investors.
At the end software market runs in a cycle so..
