SGA’s basket to pass Wilt Chamberlain for the longest 20+ point streak in history looked a little familiar 👀
Shai got the move from CP3. Almost identical.
#ChrisPaulEffect
Chris Paul’s retirement tour with the Clippers ended abruptly, and all anyone can remember now is how ugly it ended.
But DeAndre Jordan doesn’t want this to be what people recall about CP3.
"Chris helped my career out tremendously, so nobody can tell me anything bad about CP3," Jordan told @TomerAzarly. "He's a Hall-of-Famer. He's done so much for this game. He's helped so many young players and older guys."
Of the 249 teammates that Chris Paul shared the floor with throughout his 21-year NBA career, no one played more games alongside Paul than DeAndre Jordan.
The duo played 459 games together — 406 regular season games and 53 playoff games. Jordan and Paul had a .658 winning percentage, going 302-157 in those 459 games together.
If anyone knows what CP3 is all about, it’s DJ.
Alongside Chris Paul, DeAndre Jordan became an NBA All-Star while being named to multiple All-NBA teams and All-Defensive teams.
Above all, Chris did all the things necessary to get the best out of his teammates.
"He’s amazing. He's going to push you, he's going to challenge you to be the best player you can be. He's going to bark at you. That's his Napoleon complex.
"But sh*t, for me, I needed that. And some players need that. Some guys don't want to be challenged, and that's fine. But I think that if you were to ask any player, they would want CP on their team."
It's also what Chris has done off the court as well.
"He does so much stuff for kids and HBCU schools, too."
That is what DeAndre Jordan wants to be the lasting memory of Chris Paul’s 21-year NBA career.
✨ The Chris Paul Effect ✨
Every team that Chris Paul went to instantly got better. Each team won more games than the season prior.
The positive impact that CP3 had on each of his teammates was remarkable.
Chris Paul did so many phenomenal things on the basketball court but his rebounding is underrated
Since the merger, no player 6’2 or shorter has had more 5+ RPG seasons, and Paul stands at just 6’
